We’re on the move again!
Following on from last Autumn’s very successful day out to Kildare we’re organising a Mid Summer’s Trip to the West.
Saturday 21st June
The Museum of Country Life, Co Mayo
The award-winning Museum of Country Life is home to the National Folk-life Collection offering a unique opportunity to see how the people of Ireland lived in the hundred years between the Great Famine and the end of the 1950s. It offers guided tours and folk craft workshops. The Museum is set in the spectacular grounds of Turlough Park House.
Followed afterwards by lunch in the nearby picturesque Westport and a chance to potter round, take in the sights, do a bit of shopping, or just relax and enjoy the Mid summer sunshine (we hope)
Approximate cost of €35 per person which includes bus, morning tea/coffee & scone , lunch, entry to the museum and participation in a folk craft workshop on the day
