The Women’s Centre are now recruiting for our last ilm Endorsed Award ‘Women Leading the Way’ Programme. This course has been extremely popular and feedback from those women that have taken part has been brilliant, it’s really got people enthusiastic and fired up about getting involved and getting active in their local community and beyond. It’s been described as “a wonderful empowering, motivating experience”…. so come along and find the ‘leader’ in you!
The is designed to build women’s skills and confidence and encourage and support them to get more involved in the local community and maybe even take on a leadership roles in their communities. Modules include – Leadership in Community, Intro to Political skills and Europe, Building Community, Public Communication skills. Upon completion of the course participants will achieve the ilm endorsed Award Certificate in ‘Women Leading the Way’.
The course is interactive and interesting while at the same time building ‘community and self-awareness’, it runs over 4 days (10am-3pm) on the following dates and is delivered by Martina Gilmartin and will include a guest speaker who will talk about their own personal experience in leadership and decision making.

We are now recruiting for a ‘Certificate in Peace & Reconciliation Studies’ OCR Level 3 Accredited (FETAC Level 5 Equivalent) as part of the Extending Positive Relations Project. The programme will take place over 4 days, and will cover the following modules
