The Women’s Centre are now recruiting for the ilm Endorsed Award ‘Women Leading the Way’ Programme. This women’s leadership programme has been described by those that have taken part as “a wonderful empowering, motivating experience”. The programme aims to build women’s skills and confidence and encourage and support them to take get more involved in the local community and maybe even take on a leadership roles in their communities. Modules include – Leadership in Community, Intro to Political skills and Europe, Building Community, Public Communication skills. Upon completion of the course participants will achieve the ilm endorsed Award Certificate in ‘Women Leading the Way’.
The programme aims to be interactive and interesting while at the same time building ‘community and self-awareness’. The programme will run over 4 days (10am-3pm) on the following dates and is delivered by Martina Gilmartin and will include a guest speaker who will talk about their own personal experience in leadership and decision making.
